Fascinating to see them locked in so certainly within the walls
I would love to know how they made the edges (I might go on a wiki dive on this). I would guess some sort of flat stone plate sort of like how we facet gems.
Prob just copper or bronze tools with sand as a cutting abrasive, similar to how Egyptians did it.
The theory I like the best is that they used groundwater acid to smooth the stones, I’m going to post another picture of this soon along with the link to that video because if you look at the older post from yesterday with the door, the weathering of the stone is pretty rough on the outside but on the inside of the door it’s very smooth it feels almost glazed or melted by acid.
And you can find groundwater acid if you know where to look.
My wife said they are cut that way to bounce and jiggle in an earth quake instead of slide around like red brick work.
That’s what they say, that’s why they’re still standing strong hundreds of years later through all the south American earthquakes!
