I never thought I’d see somebody dumber than George W Bush in office. This country is going through some very sad, stupid, and dangerous times right now. Pls send help.
GWB was not dumb. I believe he’s actually a smart man…he just had no empathy for anyone who wasn’t level with his socioeconomic status. DJT also is without empathy, but also possesses a deep hatred for anyone who isn’t one of his pals. An active deep hatred that GWB never had… Or at least never displayed.
As he so wisely said, “There’s an old saying in Tennessee—I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, fool me once, shame on—shame on you. Fool me—you can’t get fooled again.”
I did think he was a dumbass when, after it was clear Rumsfeld was driving us hard the unforgivable shitshow that was W’s Iraq War he said, “I’m the decider, and I decide what is best. And what’s best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as the Secretary of Defense.”
But you are right. He would drop absolute truthbombs we found so unsettling, like, “I’ll be long gone before some smart person ever figures out what happened inside this Oval Office.”
There was a split second where U. S. politics were funny. I remember we would laugh at whatever gaff or speech “W” had made, but then war were declaredand yeah, nothing funny about it. Pprobably never was funny, but there was a moment where I had just enough ignorange to consider it so
omg my typing sucks. Sorry, we’re just at the not-hot-enough-to-turn-on-heat/but-still-too-cold-for-comfort stage of the shoulder season here.

Yeah, we misunderestimated him.
