I never thought I’d see somebody dumber than George W Bush in office. This country is going through some very sad, stupid, and dangerous times right now. Pls send help.

GWB was not dumb. I believe he’s actually a smart man…he just had no empathy for anyone who wasn’t level with his socioeconomic status. DJT also is without empathy, but also possesses a deep hatred for anyone who isn’t one of his pals. An active deep hatred that GWB never had… Or at least never displayed.

        Yeah, we misunderestimated him.

As he so wisely said, “There’s an old saying in Tennessee—I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, fool me once, shame on—shame on you. Fool me—you can’t get fooled again.”

I did think he was a dumbass when, after it was clear Rumsfeld was driving us hard the unforgivable shitshow that was W’s Iraq War he said, “I’m the decider, and I decide what is best. And what’s best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as the Secretary of Defense.”

But you are right. He would drop absolute truthbombs we found so unsettling, like, “I’ll be long gone before some smart person ever figures out what happened inside this Oval Office.”

There was a split second where U. S. politics were funny. I remember we would laugh at whatever gaff or speech “W” had made, but then war were declaredand yeah, nothing funny about it. Pprobably never was funny, but there was a moment where I had just enough ignorange to consider it so

omg my typing sucks. Sorry, we’re just at the not-hot-enough-to-turn-on-heat/but-still-too-cold-for-comfort stage of the shoulder season here.

Trump is trying to brush off China/Xi’s extremely rational trade policy response to Trump’s extremely irrational trade policy decisions…

… by speaking as if this is all just a minor, temporary blunder on China’s end.

Basically, peak delusion/dementia insanity from the world’s most “never ever wrong about anything” man.

Trump really does need to be taken out to pasture, 25th Ammendment’d… otherwise literally millions, tens of millions of Americans will starve in basically a self-imposed Republican Holodomor.

Trump said that there would be a 100% tariff increase starting in November, on top of the 30% one already in place.

China hasn’t issued an official response other than “we dont want a trade war, but we aren’t afraid of one”

People are legitimately worried because prices skyrocketed the last time he did this and they still haven’t recovered.

China should make a deal because somehow us not buying their cheap shit will cause their country to go into a depression instead of ours for some reason. I don’t think it makes sense. Don’t we owe -them- tons of money?

THE "WEAVE’, saying 9 non-sensical things at once that forms into one though that is only understable to his followers.

It’s actually saying 9 contradictory things and only taking credit for the good outcomes. The bad outcomes are someone else’s fault.

      “Elected” president

Millions of people came together and said this person should lead them.

I just heard a “historian” say them saving Nazis from facing consequences and flying them over to US was okay because they helped “humanity” after they learned “american values.”

No wonder their education sucks and propaganda rules.

Believe it or not history isn’t nice. It’s brutal and transactional. I don’t like Nazis. I am an anti-authoritarian. And you’re a tiny little confused twat that can’t comprehend the big swinging dick picture that is politics on a world stage level.

You’ve also conveniently taken my comment completely out of context, but I’m not surprised with your 8th grade vocabulary that you would struggle with nuance. I never said that the Nazis that were paper clipped didn’t do bad things. I said we took bad people and made good use of them. But yes I am big Nazi man that’s all I do is praise Nazis and thank Nazis /s I guess that’s why I spend so much of my time on here. Arguing for freedom and liberty for all.

But the real kicker for me is you know if you look through my profile you will see that I routinely post things like this. https://youtu.be/WSqUBwlHld4

I responded to the right person. The context is in another posts thread. But they are speaking about me in their comment here

I mean if you saw someone throwing your name in the mud and calling you a Nazi apologist while browsing a random post on another instance, would you not reply?

I’m not terminally online in Lemmy enough or paying close enough attention that I would ever notice that so I can’t really answer that. I guess if I were thinking about it … I don’t actually care enough that I’d post some angry comment in another thread but it’s your life.

You might want to consider how often you’re spending your time hate commenting if that’s a thing for you idk. Fuck, I mean, I almost didn’t even reply to this lol
