I would say that the recent live action shows have been very critical of liberalism and “higher ground” activism. Ashoka showed the useless nature of the New Republic trying to find common ground and rehabilitate former imperials.
I always liked this guy and now I feel vindicated. Don’t think I’ve ever seen him miss or phone it in for an acting role.
