As y’all know, I’m the house manager for a queer sober living house. Have a non binary housemate that’s disabled and hasn’t been able to get a job. Because of this, they haven’t been able to pay their back rent and the sober living president is forcing me to kick them out tomorrow evening. Unless they miraculously find a job within the next 24 hours, there’s nothing I can do about this. Best I can do is offer to let them stay a few hours longer than I’m supposed to and give them some of the few groceries I have before they leave.

Normally I’d post an amount for my needs, but these are not my needs. This person has been depending on food stamps for many years and won’t be getting them next month, along with being forced out onto the street, so I’m trying to raise as much as possible for them.

Also to anybody who questions giving someone in sober living that much money right when they’re about to go homeless, this person isn’t actually an addict, they just needed a place to stay.
