I find it strange how shocked people are by this. It’s the most obvious implication of believing that Jesus is the sole Mediator with God and thereby the only way to avoid Hell that you would want someone you love (let’s just say for the sake of argument that he loves her) to be saved.

Obviously I don’t support his view and I think Johannine theology is extremely ideologically backwards, but this belief should not surprise anyone.
