So you aren’t mad at the people committing welfare fraud?! What about the system that lets 11 percent be messed up: “Federal audits and USDA reports show national improper payment rates around 11–11.7 percent for recent fiscal years, equating to roughly $10–$10.5 billion that were paid improperly”

Or this fun factoid: “Fraudulent Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefit transactions increased by a staggering 55 percent between the final quarter of fiscal year 2024 and the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, according to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service.” -https://www.newsweek.com/snap-benefit-theft-explodes-across-us-2082664

"Between the final quarter of fiscal year 2024 and the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, the total number of fraudulent SNAP transactions jumped from 444,553 to 691,604—an increase of 247,051, or 55 percent. It marks the largest rise in fraudulent claims across a single time period since the USDA began publishing these records.

Since the second quarter of fiscal year 2023, more than $102 million in stolen benefits has been replaced by the federal government, the dataset reveals."-https://www.newsweek.com/snap-benefit-theft-explodes-across-us-2082664

Let me guess tho: I guess Newsweek works for Trump now, right?

Oh you think that kind of fraud is bad, just wait until you see what the ultra wealthy do. What poor and low income people do to get by is not my concern because it costs nothing in the face of everything that the rich and their republican buddies are pulling out of all of us

Oh I know that they do. I have been against the ultra wealthy all my life. So because rich people steal from poor people, do you think it’s ok for poor people to steal from other poor people?! Nah, dawg, I ain’t going that path.

Fraud is fraud. I don’t care what the income level of the fraudster is. Welfare fraud needs to be fixed.

I’m saying if you fixed the problem with the rich the poor wouldn’t need to steal

The poor don’t need to steal now. They still do. You do realize that not every theft is out of necessity, right?! How old are you where you think there is some utopia that people won’t steal if they have enough stuff?! LMAO

I have actually. Shortly after, I spent 3 years working for the homeless shelter in my community. Then I volunteered with an org that reaches out to home-free individuals. Now I work with a local chapter of the Red Cross that reaches out to underserved individuals in my city.

By your remarks though, I can tell you’ve never been homeless. lol
