I thought Cuckoo was better overall, ending is kinda of bittersweet but in a things will be better for the next generation because of us, etc.
When You Fell From Heaven by Alyson Greaves is meant to be very upbeat. Basically a trans girl moves to a small town and everyone is supportive.
Its fair that like “everything was good and got better” probably isnt the most exciting story BUT transition is like the Heros Journey. The big booktok trans-lit stuff tends to freeze right before the hero returns having transformed with riches or whatever for their whole family and village, like the best part of the whole trials and tribulations the hero had to go through.
