A fully deserved victory for Forest over a Liverpool side that looks nowhere near the form of last season. Honestly, Liverpool might be lucky to finish in the top four this season.
It annoys me no end that Sean was well prepared to exploit the gap freely admitted to by Arnie, but Unai wouldn’t, and it cost us our best chance of a win at Anfield in years.
It will be interesting who finishes higher if Arnie stays, Liverpool or Forest. Even Peps bad patch last season wasn’t this bad.
This just illustrates what an incredible squad Klopp left behind that it was able to win the title without any changes. Additionally we don’t know how big the lasting effect of the lasting effect of losing Diogo Jota might still be in that dressing room.
What happened to Jota was awful but Slot has had more than enough money to spend to replace him, the fact that to me he hasn’t properly addressed losing Jota or Diaz despite spending an actual fortune shows Slot doesn’t understand what made the squad good last season or he simply didn’t care. Diaz is already having a good impact at Bayern, his loss in often understated to Liverpool.
While Slot tinkered around the edges of what Klopp left him, he was still effectively net decking last years squad without understanding it.

If they continue like this, yes. They started the season very well tho.
