6 minutes agoI live in Western Wyoming. It is the middle of January and most of my yard is grass. My lawn is supposed to be under three or four feet of snow. Instead, grass. This is all fucked.

41·11 hours agoAnyone that’s ever looked into Google Photo’s “auto tag” feature knows that facial recognition is not 100% accurate. Google has done it the longest, with the largest dataset and the most processing power, and it is still 90% accurate, at best.
WTF?!?

He has been very active in BlueSky since its early closed beta days. From what I can tell, he seems to be a descent guy.
Richard Kadrey is another author on Bluesky that seems very much against MAGA bullshit.
Oh there are plenty of instances of kindness I’ve regretted. Far more than cruelty since I avoid cruelty. Still, I’d rather regret a failed act of kindness than succeed in an act if cruelty.
I am pretty sure Scalzi’s trigger this morning is the letter to Norway, but it feels like a permanent and blanket statement for this administration.
