Young people not fucking voting though still remains an issue.
Lumisal@lemmy.worldto Europe@feddit.org•Finland's Austerity Gamble: Tax Cuts for the Rich, Pain for the PoorEnglish2·5 days agoI really need to translate “Birds of a feather flock together” for the Finns.
I don’t think everyone is into that link tho (/j)
No, it’s Finnish
Exactly, he could just be a cop.
So still a reason to break up with him, but a different one
Lumisal@lemmy.worldto Europe@feddit.org•SAP CEO calls European plan for own cloud data centers completely crazyEnglish8·6 days agoThey’re not used to a country with commercial competition. They think only giant companies can exist and it’s inevitable everything eats each other, because their government has no regulations, so cut them done slack I suppose.

Their fleets would instantly be targeted by standard missiles from all the other countries if they attacked.
But guess you can never underestimate stupid. Maybe they’re feeling cocky because of the Polish elections
Just checked, seems to be partially back up

Lumisal@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Wikipedia Pauses AI-Generated Summaries After Editor BacklashEnglish83·8 days agoDidn’t know that exists, and that needs more marketing. I literally have a “Daily Wikipedia Article” thing and never came across it. And maybe a different name, like Simplified Wikipedia, because I thought you meant something different.
Lumisal@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Wikipedia Pauses AI-Generated Summaries After Editor BacklashEnglish322·8 days agoProblem is they can’t read Wikipedia articles in the first place. A lot of it, in particular anything STEM, is higher level reading.
What you’re advocating for is the same as dropping off a physics textbook at an elementary school.

Honestly that’s the reason I thought it was a good idea at least. Might actually give them a place to start learning from and improve.

I guess it’s because the weight is more spread out too since it is a bit bigger.
Lumisal@lemmy.worldto Nintendo@lemmy.world•It's Official, Switch 2 Has Sold Over 3.5 Million Units Globally In Its First Four DaysEnglish3·8 days agoI have to believe it’s for cost reasons. It’s a very strange downgrade considering they already released a literally upgraded OLED version of the Switch 1.
I actually normally play on the TV, but my wife has always preferred handheld, and it wouldn’t be fair for only one of to get a Switch. And the 2 came out literally on her birthday, so even less so. So I got her a Steam Deck instead and, have to say, should have gotten it sooner. It’s essentially a Switch 2 - no limit recordings, OLED, more power, etc. more surprising is that it was lighter than the Switch 1, so she’s really happy for that, and I have a PC so at least it’ll tide us over this gen until an OLED version is released.
(Not to mention I built a cartridge dumper and dumped my versions of BOTW and TOTK to play Ryujinx. Have had 60fps, 4k, jaggy free versions for free for years, so the 10€ cost to get them on Switch 2 was just extra insulting. Those should have been free updates to make up for the lack of games at launch)
What percent of the adult population?
