Loading slowly and being laggy. Me problem?

Yes, long load times, some 502s, scripts and icons not loading in. I restarted my browser and that helped at least the other day so maybe try that?

This is usually a problem related to lemmy-ui, so you should try an alternate frontend to see if the trouble is with Hexbear itself or just with the UI web-app. I normally go for alexandrite.app.

Woah where did this come from? This is MUCH better than the default interface. Are there any other front end options that you know of?

Edit: https://tesseract.dubvee.org/ and https://phtn.app/ are a few of the web-apps on lemmyapps.com. Just be aware that inputting or rendering emojis might not work on alternate frontends; this is why I usually stick with the regular lemmy-ui frontend unless it’s giving me trouble.

I wouldn’t say so, since RedLib doesn’t let you log in and is designed around privacy. The Lemmy alternate frontends are really just for customization of user experience more than anything.
Yes that is a huge drawback with RedLib sadly. Thanks for posting about these. I always appreciate finding new frontends that make things better to use.

yeah sometimes the icons under comments etc don’t load
Sometimes it’s really slow to load pages and pages get the wrong title on the tab until they’re fully loaded, but today it’s actually being way more responsive than usual.
