You know who you are. You don’t wanna have to pull the whole machine apart and split the pump do you?

why the hell aren’t you cleaning your lint filter after every load of laundry it takes 15 seconds am i insane for doing it this way??
I dunno why I wrote lint filter tbh, the one I fucked up was the drain pump filter on the washing machine.
the drain pump filter on the washing machine
The what now
The little door on the bottom left of front loading washing machines that I’ve been ignoring for months
Is it only front loading? We have a top loading washing machine and usually i’ll read manuals about stuff but it came with the house…
I got yelled at when I forgot and now I don’t even have a dryer.
pffft you can’t tell me what to do
update: house fire :(
Belly button’s all clear! Thanks for the reminder
Christ. I share this struggle.
Dryer lint is great for starting campfires.
Or normal fires. I’m not gonna tell you how to enjoy fire.
Stuff it into toliet paper rolls and you got a longer burning quick fire starter
Clean your dishwasher’s trap too
See this is how it starts. “Clean your drier filter.” then it’s “clean your dishwasher trap” then it’s “Clean your drains” then it’s “clean your toilet.” Now you’re just cleaning everything endlessly. That’s how they get you. The screw tightens and everyone just goes along with it.

Oh fuck, thank you for reminding me to tighten the screw
Clean behind your ears.
TIDY YOUR ROOM BUCKOS
My dishwasher’s what?
yeah wtf the only dishwasher trap around here is me
You mean my belly button?
How about I make a site that charges you a subscription and every month clean lint filters are delivered directly to your door. That way you can just throw out the old one and replace it with a clean new one.
bonus tip (especially if you have a front loader) drain the excess reservoir or whatever it’s called. your washing machine may not be able to drain all the water it used and has a separate unconnected drain hose.
wat
water stays in the machine when it stops because the drain pump doesn’t succ it dry.
there’s usually a small secondary hose to manually drain from the lowest point.
imo it’d be overkill to drain it like that every time, pretty sure you’d only do that before servicing it.
but my qualifications are that I let the machine fully clog before I realised there was a filter to clean, so I’m probably not an authority on the subject.
When I moved in we had a tech come out to fix something and she said once a month is recommended. Can prevent stinky clothes.
unscented detergent also prevents stinky clothes
That explains it, I’ve been using the stinky detergent the whole time.
:this:
I like cleaning the lint trap because it’s soft and warm
yeah same. I’d never skip the lint trap. but washing machines have a much courser filter to stop coins and shit going into the drain pump and that can get blocked and then your machine starts to rust and you don’t notice until your clothes come out with rust stains on them.

It’s literally a 5 sec swipe and toss. Plus don’t you want to judge how linty the new towels are?
I thought this was about my belly button (lint gets in there a lot for some reason)
Haha dang ya beat me to it
I haven’t done laundry since I last cleaned it. Back up a couple steps, please, the clothes on the
“not actually dirty” chairfloor need attention first. The floor is the biggest shelf

Are you talking about the washing machine?
I am yeah.
I bought a flexy brush that I super love, and a long skinny boi attachment for my vacuum cleaner. That fucker is clean as fuck. Or it was. Probably need to do it again.
