I haven’t watched the season and probably won’t, but there is a whole section of the fan base that seems to think another episode is coming out tomorrow…

Imo, isn’t that bad. It dosen’t closed “properly” with a 100% happy ending, but kinda ambiguous felt good but not “real real” ending (mild spoilers, end with a d&d narration of the future of the crew, but is not canon).

So, it’s possible that they go with a new episode because one of the antagonists of last season never came to justice, but I doubt it.

I’ll try to say without spoilers.

The ending is ambiguous but very intentional and conclusive. Think how Inception ended

and people were supposed to decide the truth. People are meant to walk away making up their own mind about stranger things’ ending the same way. All the people you see reacting to it as of it isn’t the end are probably doing so because normally shows don’t give ambiguous endings like that.

Overall I think the season was pretty good. It was definitely time to end the show, and I think you could feel the anthology plan stranger things was originally going to do coming through, but it ended well overall.

That’s what killed GoT for me, before it went “bad”. Tv shows just became a popularity contest and people on twitter, aka the worst people get to decide what happens on a tv show. Oh wait, people like this guy, he now has to get a bigger role. People like that little green shit in the mandalorian? Now it’s the green little shit show with a hint of mandalorian
